Singing and Dancing by ~Moongazer22:iconMoongazer22:

The hand holding the remote suddenly flopped down onto the couch as the rest of the body followed it.  In a crumpled mess, that soon untangled it’s self, Cody, lips pulled back in a calm and gracious smile, pressed the big red button and watched the T.V. flicker on.   So content.  For some reason he just felt so at home and comfortable within this house.  With Three.

Three was his other half.  He was serious when Cody was crazy. He was calm when Cody was hyper.  They equalled each other out in some weird ying yang way.  But Cody was happy with it.  His finger pressed down on another button, soon coming up to the music channel.  His favourite channel actually.  He only loved it so much because he knew most of the songs and lyrics.  And a smile, bigger than the one before it fell upon his lips as he set the remote down on the arm of the couch and leaned forward, looking intently at the screen.

‘Home’ by Chris Daughtry was playing and the boy just about screamed with delight.  He loved this song, not just for the lyrics but for the guitar in the back ground and the way everything just seemed to gravitate around its self.  Immediately his lips parted and eyes closed.  A voice no one would have expected from the lengthy boy flooded through his mouth.

“The miles are getting longer, it seems,
The closer I get to you.
I've not always been the best man or friend for you.
But your love, remains true.
And I don't know why.
You always seem to give me another try.”

By now the ageing teen was standing in front of the couch, head tilted slightly back as he let his voice gain more volume and depth.  He loved this, the fact that he could sing without a care in the world stunned him at times.  But he just sank into it and continued on.

“So I'm going home,
Back to the place where I belong,
And where your love has always been enough for me.
I'm not running from.
No, I think you got me all wrong.
I don't regret this life I chose for me.
But these places and these faces are getting old.”

Hands now moved slowly before his form, gesturing and swirling with each different word.  Eyes closed, hiding those bright grey blue eyes from view.

“Be careful what you wish for,
'Cause you just might get it all.
You just might get it all,
And then some you don't want.
Be careful what you wish for,
'Cause you just might get it all.
You just might get it aaaalllllll, yeah.”

Unknown to the shifter though, Three Step had been home all this time.  His gentle and light footsteps carrying him slowly down the stairs, making sure to make no noise.  It was rare to hear Cody sing, even rarer that the elder got to watch him.  But with his own slightly bright grey eyes he sat calmly upon the third stair and watched silently as the younger man continued on.

“Oh, well I'm going home,
Back to the place where I belong,
And where your love has always been enough for me.
I'm not running from.
No, I think you got me all wrong.
I don't regret this life I chose for me.
But these places and these faces are getting old.
I said these places and these faces are getting old.
So I'm going home.
I'm going home.
I’m goin’ hooommeeee....”

Cody sang the last part by himself, letting the last word roll of the back of his throat, vibrating along his tongue.  Dropping his head, letting his arms move slowly back to his sides, the man posed as if singing in front of an audience before gentle clapping met his ears and Cody jerked around to face the source of the sound.

Three Step was slowly standing, his hands coming together as he made his way softly down the last three steps.  He also noticed the bright blush appearing on Cody’s cheeks as the younger boy plopped himself down on the couch and covered his face with his hands.

“Three...”  He whined, almost sounding like a bashful puppy.

A chuckle moved elegantly from Three’s lips as he moved to the couch and sat down next to Cody, wrapping his arm around the startled and blushing boy.   “What...?”  He asked lightly, smirking at the way Cody was acting.  Then his eyes pivoted to the T.V. his own finger coming down upon the red button as he watched it flicker off.

Hands slowly fell away from the canine’s face, eyes looking up to watch Three carefully.  “Why did you just sit there...?”  He asked sheepishly somewhat unsure of why the other man had listened to him.  His voice had to be horrid, so why had Three sat and stayed quiet?

“Because...  Cody...  It was Beautiful...”  Stunned, the pup let his jaw drop slightly before smiling and turning his head to glance out the window.  “Really...?”  He whispered, still not sure if it was true, but if Three was telling him something like that, it had to hold something.

“Yes.”

Just as simple as that and Cody’s face broke out into a joyful grin as he wrapped his arms around the older of the two and nuzzled his head against his chest.  “Cool!  Means I get to sing more often huh?”  He spoke enthusiastically, voice holding nothing but pure joy and happiness within it.  He’d matured so much since his younger years, now slightly less afraid to do things people would consider weird or outrageous.  For that was him.

Then all of a sudden Three was standing, arms holding the younger boy to him as he looked down upon Cody.  “If you get to sing, I get to teach you something now then.”  Blinking quickly, the shifter rightened himself and tipped his head to the side.
“Teach me... Something?”  Somewhat confused he furrowed his brows and crossed his arms.  “Like what?”

Grey blue eyes watched as the other turned around and flicked on the T.V. once more but turned it to a channel feature ball dancing.  Of course, Cody, the nave and uneducated man he was merely blinked and focused harder at the screen.

“Dancing?!”  He finally exclaimed after a couple moments of hard concentration earning a snort from the elder as he stepped up in front of Cody.  The smile that beamed from Three only made Cody smile too as he relaxed his body and let Three take hold of his hands.  “Yes, Cody.”

One hand of Cody’s that Three placed was up on his shoulder, the other he held tightly in his left hand.  But where Three put his own hand made the younger one shiver as Cody glanced down before looking up again, blushing softly.  The elder only chuckled and shook his head before parting his own lips.

“Alright Cody.  Take your left foot and step forward.”  Doing as the other asked Cody stepped towards Three and watched as Three stepped backwards.  Grinning softly, flicking his eyes from Three to the ground he waited for further instruction.

“Now with your right foot bring it towards your left but step out to the side before putting it down.  Like this.”  Then Three demonstrated while still keeping his hold on the young man and smirked quietly when Cody’s face brightened into a more relaxed and attentive expression.  But the other laughed lightly when a pink tongue appeared from between the others lips and he tried to copy the move he had just seen.  Except he ended up going the wrong way with his foot and tried to trip himself it seemed.

Then with a started yip, Three’s hand came out and caught the toppling younger man under his stomach and brought him back up to his feet.  “Two left feet there Cody?”  He teased.

“Aww, you be quiet!  At least I’m tryin’!”

Again the other chuckled and placed Cody’s hand back in there proper positions, again noticing him quiver as he laid his hand against his back.  “Once more.

Forward.  Step.  Forward.  Pause, Side, Step.”  This time, with Three’s hand pulling him and making him follow the direction Cody managed to stay upright and blasted a grin up at Three.  “Cool!  I did it!”  He exclaimed, about to pull his hands away when he tripped somehow over Three’s foot and toppled backwards, grabbing the others shirt in the process.

A loud thud rang out in the smallish room as both men fell to the ground.  A quiet groan issued from the pup and he rubbed the back of his head, wincing slightly.  No sound came from Three, instead his eyes were focused upon the one beneath him, quietly frozen.

“You alright there Cody?”  He asked quietly, moving slightly to the side so that he could brush the others hand away and look at the bottom part of the back of his head.

“Yah, yah.”  The younger man grimaced when fingers touched a sore spot and moved his head away, letting it touch Three’s chest lightly.  Cody had in fact fallen against the edge of the couch but ignored the pain and looked up at the older one.

“See no harm.”  A forced smile fell upon his lips before Three was on his feet and picked up Cody before plopping him gently onto the couch.

“Stay there.”  He ordered, turning away from the other stunned man as he made his way quickly up the stairs.  All Cody could do was blink and watch silently while Three disappeared.  He tried to listen to the footsteps up above but gave up sometime later.  Three had always been quiet.  It was just his way.

Then falling back against the edge of the couch, he let his head drape over the back, eyes closed.  Always getting hurt, one way or another.  A giant sigh left his chest as he again tried to listen for footsteps.

“Cody, lift your head.”  The shifter jumped suddenly and flung open his eye lids to see Three standing behind him holding a wrapped up cloth.  With a roll of his eyes he dropped his head forward and muttered, “I’m fine, really...”

“You say that, but I know you feel otherwise...”  Three countered, gently letting his free hand hold Cody’s shoulder and neck while the other pressed the ice filled cloth against the back of the younger ones head.  He wasn’t surprised at all to feel Cody try to pull away and lightly smiled.

“I know you Cody...”  He whispered, gently lowering his body so his chest rested against the top of the couch.  Cody’s eyes flickered to the side before he lightly turned his head and watched Three with curious pools of grey blue.

“Like no one else...”  The pup whispered, slowly feeling the gap close between them.  As each edged ever closer, the younger one felt his face flush softly with a light red and closed his eyes.  While Three smirked at Cody and gently let their lips finally touch.

Both sets of eye were closed while the action continued through.  Each holding the touch for as long as seemed right, just softly, just gently together.  When they finally did break apart which seemed too soon for the both of them Cody smiled brightly and shrugged his shoulders.

“Some dance lesson huh?”  He smirked and laughed lightly, dodging Three’s light swipe at his head.

“Dork.”  Three muttered, chuckling softly.

Just another tidbit of Cody, except this time it involves Three Step and he's about 2 years older, though he doesn't act like it. ^^

This does contain Boy x Boy action so if you don't like that stuff DO NOT READ AND COMMENT. If you do, good on ya!

Tis just a kiss though, so I don't think that's mature. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. ^^
